Most scientists will point out that there is no clear relationship between the moon and earthquakes taking place here on Earth. That being said, as a casual observer it does seem as if there is increased earthquake activity surrounding full moons. A supemoon occurs when a full moon coincides with the moon making it’s closest approach to the Earth. Last year’s supermoon appeared within just over one week of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. (the earthquake was on 3/11/11 anf the supermoon on 3/19/11) This was the closest the moon was to the earth in 18 years. There will be another supermoon this Saturday. While we know the tides will be affected, it will be interesting to see whether or not there are any major earthquakes within the next week or so.

Colombia’s meteorological institute has issued a red alert for the Nevado del Ruiz volcano. When this volcano erupted in 1985, more than 25,000 people were killed! The video above shows a timelapse recording from yesterday.

What is the size of an aircraft carrier and can change (or end) life as we know it?  There is a 1 in 625 chance that Asteroid 2011 AG5 may hit Earth on February 5, 2040.   This makes the likelihood of 2011 AG5 hitting Earth greater than picking just 2 numbers plus the mega ball in the Mega Millions lottery.  Considering I have picked two numbers and a mega ball on several occasions, the odds of the asteroid hitting Earth are very concerning.  The fact that NASA is talking about a “deflection mission” is downright scary.  Let’s pray the scientists are wrong.

In the past, we have noted that there seems to be a link to dead fish and birds and earthquakes (read). Well now there are dead fish beingh found in the Arkansas river. It will be interesting to see if there is a significant earthquake in the Little Rock area in the near future.

The Taliban has promised not to attack Pakistan’s Nuclear weapons. Instead, they are planning to take control of them. Taliban spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan voiced his anger that Pakistan continues to bow down to the United States even though they are a nuclear power.

In response to the threat, Pakistan is now planning for an attack on the North Waziristan region, which is a known haven for Taliban and al Qaeda fighters.

The fall of Damascus is supposed to be a precursor to the end of the world. Well I, for one, am calling for the fall of Damascus. At a minimum, President Bashar al-Assad needs to fall from power. You do not need any more evidence than the video below, which shows what his security forces did to a 13-year-old protester.

Hazma Ali al-Khateeb was not killed during the protests. He was captured first. Then he was burned, shot, had his genitals removed and neck broken. His dead body was returned to his family after a month with a warning not to mourn him in public. In a brave act of courage and defiance, his family decided to share Hazma’s story with the world by putting a video of his fate on the Internet.

Let’s hope every one of the animals responsible for what happened to Hazma meets an even more horrible death, if that is even possible.

Two weeks ago, my wife and I took the day off to spend some time together at a New Jersey beach. We arrived at Point Pleasant at about 11:00am. It was a beautiful 72 degrees and the beach was nice and quiet. It was early enough in the year to find free parking just one block from the beach. Beach access was free as well (which will not be the case in a couple of weeks).

We spent enough time on the sand to get a little sunburned. We then decided to support the local economy by eating at one of the beachfront restaurants. As we sat perched on the second floor of the restaurant and drinking a margarita for two, we noticed a group of people walking down the boardwalk all wearing the same t-shirt.

The t-shirt warned that Judgment Day is upon us and the group was handing out flyers to anyone that would take one. The group was made up of older senior citizens. While it would not be a total surprise if one of them did not make it past 5/21/11, could we all be facing the end of days in just over a week?

After lunch, my wife and I decided to walk down the pier to the inlet. It is a nice walk and I have always enjoyed watching the boats go by. As we walked down the boardwalk, we noticed the group with the pamphlets headed our way. An older gentleman handed the pamphlet to my wife and simply told her to read it and that is was very important.

We continued to the end of the boardwalk. While the beach had been quiet, the boardwalk was fairly crowded for a Friday in April. We watched the boats for a little while and then headed back down the boardwalk towards our car. As we passed the Kohr’s Ice Cream stand, I watched as one in the group that had warned us thoroughly enjoyed a vanilla cone. I couldn’t help thinking that she might be savoring the cone, believing it may be her last. Not a bad way to spend the day a month before Judgment Day.

We were soon in our car and headed home. As we were leaving Point Pleasant, we were greeted by a huge billboard that read “Judgment Day Is Coming May 21, 2011”.

I had read stories previously about the religious group Family Radio and how it was taking its bus across the country to warn of Judgment Day on 5/21/11. This was the first time I had come across any of its members or billboards. I did a little research and learned that they have over 2000 billboard all throughout the world. They believe it is their responsibility to warn others of the beginning of the end.

According to Michael Garcia, a Family Radio member, “Believers are commanded to blow the trumpet, to sound the warning when the sword is coming upon the land. When you know this information … and you don’t warn the people, then their blood will be upon your head.” This comes straight from the Bible (Ezekiel 33.3).

Well I have been warned and we will surely know whether or not there is any truth to Family Radio’s prediction in just 8 days. I’m not sure if there is any truth to it but I am warning you so your blood will not be on my hands.

Mission Accomplished! Hallelujah!

There’s a little bit of good news and some pretty scary bad news when it comes to Iran. First the good news: The sanctions against Iran due to its nuclear program seem to be having some effect. Iran is complaining about the sanctions and is trying to get them lifted, which brings us to the bad news. Iran is now threatening the United States and our allies with $150 per barrel oil if the sanctions are not lifted.

In an interview with the Washington Times, the head of Iran’s central bank said oil prices will rise above $150 if the sanctions aren’t abandoned. Mahmoud Bahmani added, “Iran can have an effect on world energy and fuel. Fuel prices will go up dramatically.” Before you write this off as more propaganda coming out of Iran, keep in mind that Iran is the world’s third-largest oil exporter. Iran is also a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, otherwise known as OPEC.

Gasoline prices have just increased for the 28th straight day! The average citizen in the United States is in no position to be dealing with $5.00+ gas prices. Let’s hope our elected leaders fight for us for a change. Don’t count on it!

The videos provide evidence that plans for a New World Order may be failing largely due to the freedom of information on the Internet. Yet another reason why we should not give the President of the United States the power to turn off the Internet. Although, I believe he or she would do so even if it were against the will of the American people. The more I learn, the more I realize nobody is to be trusted.

Well so far we’ve seen emergency shelter companies, movie companies, emergency food companies and others capitalizing on the 2012 phenomenon. But we have now reached a “higher” level.

Of course the Boarding Passes, Intergalactic Passport ID Cards and 2012 Guidebook are meant as a novelty item and I am sure Mr. Dowd will sell plenty. I just want to know what he is going to do when people start lining up at his front door with their boarding passes.

With all the turmoil in the world, the situation in Bahrain seems to be ignored. Unfortunately, it may pose the biggest threat. While the situation is not receiving the attention it deserves, Bahrain’s government is also making it difficult for journalists. Several journalists have been stopped and detained at the airport. Also, companies in Bahrain have fired employees that support the protests.

While it is nothing more than symbolic at this time, Iran’s members of parliament have signed a declaration condemning Saudi Arabia for sending troops into Bahrain. The declaration stated, “All Muslims are urging for a rapid withdrawal of occupiers from Bahrain’s soil.” It also suggested that Saudi Arabia focus its military efforts towards Israel rather than Bahrain.

What happens when Iran’s actions are no longer symbolic? There is already evidence that Iran has been supplying the Shiite protestors with communications devices and weapons. What happens when they start sending in troops? Think it’s far-fetched? Check out the video below.

By now you’ve seen the picture of the Southwest Airlines plane with a four-foot hole in the top of its fuselage. Fortunately for the 118 passengers onboard, the pilot acted quickly to reduce the plane’s altitude and to make an emergency landing at a military base. Unfortunately, this is one of at least 3 plane related events that took place this week.

Also on Friday, American Airlines Flight 547 needed to make an emergency landing after 4 passengers fainted and 2 flight attendants became dizzy. Oxygen masks were deployed and 3 people, including one flight attendant, had to be taken to the hospital.

On Monday, a pilot discovered a hole in a US Airways plane while conducting his preflight inspection. The FBI investigated and determined that it was a bullet hole after recovering the bullet.

Could the huge hole in the Southwest plane been initiated by a bullet? Could the air related issues on Flight 547 been the result of a hole in the fuselage caused by a bullet?

Southwest has grounded 79 Boeing 737’s for inspection. Maybe all the airlines should be checking their planes for holes—or bullet holes for that matter!

Even as bad as things have been, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is still hovering around 12,000. 2012armageddon.org has been warning about the manipulation that is taking place with the Dow and the possibility of a crash as inflation increases and as baby-boomers start pulling money out of the markets to live on. While we believe the Dow could drop to around 7500-8000, Harry Dent offers a much more dire forecast.

Mr. Dent believes commodities are reaching their highs and will fall soon. He expects that the stock market will rally through summer and then crash—hard! Dent believes the market can fall to 1994 levels, which would put the Dow at around 3800! In a worst-case scenario, he believes we can see 3000 to 3300. He points to the economy and financial markets and their dependence on easy money as a major contributing factor to the crash.

So why should we listen to Harry Dent? After all, isn’t he promoting his book The Great Depression Ahead? Well, in 1992 he was promoting another book, The Great Boom Ahead. Overall, Dent has been one of Wall Street’s biggest bulls—Until now!

Did you know al Qaeda has its own magazine? Targeted towards Muslim youth in Western countries and written in English, Insight magazine encourages attacks against American soldiers, stock markets and malls. The magazine was launched in July of 2010. Their 5th and latest issue, Tsunami of Change, targets Gadhafi, referring to him as a “lunatic” and “clown” while expressing support for the rebels. One article directly encourages the rebels stating, “We ask our brothers and sisters in Libya to continue standing up against the regime and to show patience in the face of Gadhafi’s tyranny until he falls.”

There have been numerous reports that members of al Qaeda are amongst the rebels fighting against Gadhafi in Libya. In fact, Gadhafi himself said he was fighting al Qaeda and asked President Obama what he would do in his place. Former CIA agent Bruce Riedel recently said, “There is no question that al Qaeda’s Libyan franchise, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, is a part of the opposition. It has always been Gadhafi’s biggest enemy and its stronghold is Benghazi. What is unclear is how much of the opposition is al Qaeda/Libyan Islamic Fighting Group – 2 percent or 80 percent.”

At this moment, President Obama is struggling with whether or not we should arm the rebels. Discussing the prospect of arming the rebels during an interview with The Early Show, President Obama admitted, “Among all the people who are opposed to Gadhafi, there might not be elements that are unfriendly to the United States and our interests.” He added, “And that’s why I think it’s important for us not to — jump in with both feet.”

There is almost no doubt that some of those weapons supplied to the rebels would wind up being used against US Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. But President Obama has already said that Gadhafi must go and it should be at the hands of the rebels. Unfortunately for the President, the rebels have been getting the crap beat out of them since we lightened up on the bombing raids. President Obama folded quickly to the wishes of the United Nations when he entered this war—and nobody folds that easily to the United Nations. Let’s hope he doesn’t fold as easily to the rebels’ demand for weapons.

OK—so maybe it’s not the jungle—but it is in Africa. Actually, it’s amazing how much the battle that is taking place right now has in common with one of the most famous fights in history. Let’s hope the outcome is changed this time around.

In this corner, you have former heavyweight champion of the world Muhammad Ali. He is as famous for his boasts and rants as he is for his fighting (sounds an awful lot like Moammar Gadhafi). He went through a quiet period but now appears to be ready to fight. He believes he will be victorious as he has Allah on his side.

In the other corner, we have George Foreman (AKA Barack Obama), the much younger challenger. He is, however, the overwhelming favorite. He has all the weapons and the big guns. He should be able to take Gadhafi out early, but that does not prove to be the case.

The first round starts with Gadhafi landing a few good shots. But by the end of the round, Foreman—I mean Obama has caught up, landing some big blows of his own. As the fight progresses, Obama has Gadhafi on the ropes. He is pounding Gadhafi with all of his weapons, power and might. But Gadhafi is still standing. Does Gadafhi have a secret plan to wear Obama out by leaning on the ropes? Is he using his “rope-a-dope” technique to tire Obama?

In the fifth round, Obama is landing what should be game-ending blows. But Gadhafi’s is in Obama’s ear whispering, “”Is that all you got, Barack?” By round eight, Barack is no longer throwing as many punches and his defenses are weakened. He is exhausted—and so are the American people. He wants the fight to end. At the sight of the weakened Obama, the crowd starts chanting louder, “Gadahfi Bumaye! Gadahfi Bumaye!” Even though Obama is on his feet at the end of the fight, he has been counted out and Gadahfi has been declared victorious.

While we can argue all day long whether or not we should be in Libya, the sad truth is that we are. We are now at the point where President Obama is starting to pull back. He has weakened Gadhafi but has not knocked him out. Gadhafi is rejuvenated and looking for revenge. He is a survivor and has survived yet another battle against his greatest foe: America.

Mr. President: it is time to change history. You cannot allow Moammar Gadhafi to win this battle. Not without weakening America or putting us at greater risk of another Pan Am Flight 103 or worse. You need to “retire” Gadhafi for good. George Foreman never gave up and neither should you. Foreman returned to become the oldest Heavyweight Champion in history and was an inspiration to millions. You can help return this country to greatness if you only choose to do so.

According to Muslim belief, the 12th Imam, Mahdi, was born around 868A.D. Due to the prosecution of Shiites taking place at the time, his father sent him into hiding. It is believed that the 12th Imam will soon return to restore order. What makes this interesting is all of the disorder that is now taking place throughout the Muslim world. As many Christians are waiting for the return of their “Messiah,” so are many Muslims. So how does Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fit into the equation?

Ahmadinejad is said to believe that he is the one who will set into motion a series of events that will lead to the return of the 12th Imam. One of the major events is the destruction of Israel, which Ahmadinejad has been promising for quite some time now. Unfortunately, the more time that goes by, the closer he gets to the development of nuclear weapons. There is already evidence that Ahmadinejad is working with Zimbabwe to mine uranium and that he already has enough nuclear material for several nuclear weapons. It is just a matter of time before he has the bomb—unless he is stopped. But does Ahmadinejad truly believe that he is to be involved in the return of the 12th Imam? Only time will tell.

As things seem to be getting worse and worse, the number 11 seems to be appearing more often. Are we in the 11th hour? Is it just a matter of time before the end of days? In the Bible, the number 11 represents disorder, disorganization, imperfection and disintegration.

Let us take a look at some recent occurrences.

· The 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on the Twin Towers (9+1+1=11). Flight 11 was the first plane to hit the towers. 11 Crew Members were killed out of a total of 92 people (9+2=11). The next plane to hit had 65 people on board (6+5=11).
· The Madrid Train Bombing on 3/11 in which 191 people were killed (1+9+1=11)
· The Boxing Day Tsunami that took place on 12/26 and killed 230,000 people (1+2+2+6=11)
· The Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami took place on 3/11/11.

These were certainly times of turmoil disorder, disorganization, imperfection, and disintegration. Could there be a connection between the number 11 and these events?

Let’s look at some Bible verses, specifically those labeled 11:11.

Isaiah 11:11 – In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.

Ezekiel 11:11 – This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be the meat in it; I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel.

Daniel 11:11 – Then the king of the South will march out in a rage and fight against the king of the North, who will raise a large army, but it will be defeated.

Revelation 11:11 – But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.

Well it certainly seems as if 11 may be a significant number with regard to turmoil and destruction, but can it give us any insight as to whether or not we will be facing Armageddon in 2012?

The Mayan Calendar ends on December 21, 2012. This is also the day when the Sun will be centered on the Galactic Equator. So what does the Bible say about the number 12?

Solar activity is expected to reach its height in 2012. The solar cycle lasts 11 years.

The number 12 appears throughout the Book of Revelation, which is the final book of the Bible. According to Revelation, the kingdom of God has 12 gates guarded by 12 angels.

Finally, President Obama is going to speak to the American people about the war he declared on Libya. It’s about time!

The only question I have is why he waited so long. Was he tired from his vacation in South America and now wants an extended weekend? Perhaps he needs to talk to Hillary Clinton to find out what is going on? Then I figured it out! There are no March Madness Basketball Games on Monday!

With all the attention on Libya, it seems as if very few are paying attention to what is going on in Bahrain. While several countries including Russia, China and parts of the Arab League have called the attacks on Libya excessive, none have yet been willing to put their troops in harms way to defend Libya. This is not the case in Bahrain.

In Bahrain, we may be witnessing the early stages of a major regional war, if not a world war. The Shiites make up the majority of the population in Bahrain but have been ruled by the minority Sunnis for over 200 years. Last week, Saudi Arabia sent over 1000 troops into Bahrain. Since then, the United Arab Emirates has sent their forces (see video below), Kuwait has sent Naval forces and Qatar has announced that they will be sending forces to help the leadership of Bahrain as well.

On the other side of the coin, Iran is supplying the Sunni rebels with communication devices. If Iran takes it a step further, we could be looking at World War III. The cold war between Iran and Saudi Arabia would come to an end and the United States would surely step in to protect their interests in Saudi Arabia. Add to the mix the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, as well as the unrest in a growing number of countries and World War III could prove to be far worse than its predecessors.
